If you’ve been following my blog for quite some time now then you’ll probably agree when I say life has given me lemons actually they just throw them at me like a citrus curve ball, and I’ve never been the best at dealing with pain. It’s difficult to stay optimistic that things will be fine at the end. I’m even staying on task with posting daily. (Go me!)
We all know that saying, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” right?
So often in life, when things don’t go our way, or we don’t get what we want, it is very easy to be upset and discontented. Instead of being unhappy with circumstances, what if we all looked for the good in the situation?
In almost everything you experience, there is something to be learned, no matter if the situation is good or bad, big or small. If it seems like you aren’t getting what you want, and it seems like it should be a good thing to have, maybe you need to grow.
If you’re going through your own difficult time, maybe you’ll take comfort in what I tell myself to keep hope alive.
You’ve been through difficult times already and it’s safe to say that this isn’t the first setback you’ve experienced, but if you have made it through all of them and you’ll come through this one, too.
Remember Kelly Clarkson singing on top of her lungs that What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger? Even if it doesn’t seem like anything positive will come from this there’s a good chance that it will. Maybe it’ll only teach you that you can handle something as disheartening as whatever it is you’re going through,. You never know how strong you can be until you are tested.
Keep calm because this phase will pass too. Good times don’t last forever, but neither does the bad times. Everything has a reason and there is always something better on its way.
And yes, you are not alone. Social media can make us feel as isolated as it can connect us to people. When life is difficult, it’s easy to feel like you’re dealing with your situation alone or that no one will understand what you’re going through. However, there is always someone who cares about you and wants what’s best for you. Just reach out to people if you feel like talking. 90 percent of them might not even give a damn about it but the 10 percent will.
Do you realize that the most messed up people we know are the ones who constantly post those sappy uplifting messages online? We all have that friend online who floods our news feed with inspirational quotes. Meanwhile their personal lives are always in turmoil and they can barely seem to stay afloat.
So always remember, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” and always look for the silver linings on dark clouds! Don’t give up on yourself, not yet.
